Activity Log

The activity log records every change made to a record in your brix workspace — such as creating a quote, editing a client’s details, or updating a status — so you can see who did what and when.

The log is shown as a timeline panel on the detail page of a record (for example, inside a quote request or a client record), not as a separate page in the sidebar.

The activity log appears as a panel on the detail page of a supported record:

  • Quote requests — Open a quote request; look for the Activity or Timeline tab or panel on the right-hand side.
  • Clients — Open a client record; look for the Activity panel showing recent changes.

The activity log shows a timeline of changes. Each entry typically includes:

  • Date and time — When the change was made.
  • User — Who made the change.
  • Action — Whether a record was created, updated, or removed.
  • Changed fields — Which fields were updated, showing the old and new values.

Changes are grouped by user and timestamp so related edits appear together.

If filtering is available in your workspace, you can narrow the log by date or user to find specific changes. Look for filter options above the activity timeline panel.

Activity log entries are missing

The activity log only shows actions taken after the record was created. Earlier activity (before your workspace started recording changes) is not available.

I cannot see the activity log panel

You may need additional permissions. Ask your workspace owner to enable View Activity Log on your permission group. If the panel is missing entirely, confirm with your admin whether the activity log feature is enabled for your workspace.
