Notifications

Notifications alert your team when something important happens in brix — such as a take-off waiting for approval or a customer approving a quote option. Admins configure which events trigger notifications and where they are delivered.

Go to ManageSettingsNotifications.

The following events can trigger notifications in brix:

EventWho can receive itDelivered by
Take-off pending approvalAny user (selected when setting up the notification) or a custom addressEmail
Take-off approvedAny user, the user who requested the take-off, or a custom addressEmail
Quote option pending approvalAny user or a custom addressEmail
Quote option approvedAny user, the user who created the quote, or a custom addressEmail
  1. Go to ManageSettingsNotifications.

  2. Click the event tab you want to configure (for example, Take-off pending approval).

  3. Click Add notification or edit an existing one.

  4. Choose who receives the notification — select a user, the responsible person, or enter a custom email address.

  5. Choose the email identity to send from. See Email Identities to add a verified sending address.

  6. Click Save.

When a configured event occurs, the selected recipients receive an email notification. The email is sent from the identity you configured. No setup is needed for the team members receiving the notification — they receive it automatically when the event occurs.

Can I send notifications to people outside my workspace?

Yes. Choose Custom as the recipient type and enter an external email address when setting up the notification.

Can the same event send notifications to multiple people?

Yes. Add multiple notification rules for the same event, each with a different recipient.

Can I turn off a notification I set up earlier?

Yes. Go to ManageSettingsNotifications, find the notification, and delete it or edit it to change the recipient.

Notifications are not being received

Check that the notification rule is set up in ManageSettingsNotifications for the relevant event. Also check that the email identity used is verified — see Email Identities.

Receiving too many notifications

Remove notification rules that are not useful. Go to ManageSettingsNotifications and delete the rules you no longer need.
