Integrations Overview
What are integrations?
Section titled “What are integrations?”Integrations let brix talk to other systems your business already uses — your job management or field-service app — so the same client, note, photo, or quote does not need to be entered twice. Once an integration is set up, work flows in either direction automatically (or on demand from the Transfers page).
Where to find integrations
Section titled “Where to find integrations”Click Integrations in the sidebar under Integrations & Data, or go to Manage → Settings → Integrations to connect or configure an integration.
The page shows Available and Connected tabs at the top (each with a count), a search box for filtering, and a list of integration cards below. Each card has a logo, a short description, and a Connect or Configure button.
What you can connect
Section titled “What you can connect”| Integration | What it does |
|---|---|
| ServiceM8 | Two-way sync of clients, notes, document photos, and quotes between brix and ServiceM8. |
| AroFlo | Sync clients and notes, pull document photos and rejected-quote status from AroFlo using a job’s reference number. |
You can enable both at the same time — they operate independently.
Use Search to find records quickly across your workspace without navigating to each section individually.
How integrations and transfers work together
Section titled “How integrations and transfers work together”- An integration is the connection between brix and an external system: the credentials, the permissions granted, and the on/off switches for each kind of data flow.
- A transfer is one unit of work that flows over an integration — for example, “push this client to ServiceM8” or “pull all jobs’ photos from AroFlo”.
You configure the integration once and brix queues transfers automatically when records change, or in bulk when you ask. You can always inspect, retry, or cancel transfers from the Transfers page.
The integration shows a Connected or Disconnected status. Use the disconnect option in the integration settings to remove the connection.
Who can configure integrations
Section titled “Who can configure integrations”Only users with admin access can see Manage → Settings → Integrations. Day-to-day users can still see the Transfers page and trigger or retry individual transfers if their role allows it.
Frequently asked questions
Section titled “Frequently asked questions”Can I connect more than one integration at a time?
Yes. You can connect both ServiceM8 and AroFlo independently. Each has its own configuration and feature toggles.
Will my data sync automatically after connecting?
Yes. Once connected, brix syncs records on a schedule. You can also trigger a manual sync from the integration settings.
