Job Statuses

When you link a new ServiceM8 job to a quote request, you choose an initial status. The status can be updated later from within ServiceM8. Here is what each status means:

StatusMeaning
QuoteThe job exists in ServiceM8 as a quote. Work has not yet started.
Work OrderThe job has been converted to a Work Order in ServiceM8 — active work is in progress or scheduled.
CompletedThe job is marked Completed in ServiceM8. The work is done.
UnsuccessfulThe job did not proceed — for example, the quote was declined or the job was cancelled.

ServiceM8 may show additional statuses that are set directly in ServiceM8 and synced back to brix. Those statuses display with the label from ServiceM8.

A ServiceM8 job card on a quote request showing the job number chip and status chip

AroFlo job status is managed entirely in AroFlo. brix displays the Ref Number you entered but does not show a separate job status. If a job is marked as rejected in AroFlo, brix can pull that status back to the quote request — see Integrations → AroFlo.

After a job is linked and the work is complete in ServiceM8, return to the quote request in brix to archive or close it. See Quote Requests for status transition options.

The status chip shows an unexpected value

The status may have been changed directly in ServiceM8 after the job was linked. Check ServiceM8 for the current state.

The job card shows “Quote options reapproved since last push”

A quote option was re-approved after materials were last pushed to ServiceM8. Click the job card and push materials again to resync.
