Equipments

Equipments in brix are specific units or machines you can add to a quote alongside services and materials — for example a particular AC model, a generator, or other items that have their own description and price. Adding equipment to a quote adds a line with the configured price or rule.

Your admin configures what counts as equipment and how it affects quote totals. The exact behaviour can vary by book.

Click Equipments in the sidebar. You will see the list of equipment items available to add to quotes.

StatusMeaning
ActiveThe equipment item is available to add to quotes.
InactiveThe equipment item is hidden from the quote builder but not deleted.

When building a quote, look for an Add equipment option or an equipment selector in the quote builder. Choose the equipment from the list — brix adds a line with the configured price or rule. You may be able to adjust the quantity or notes on the line.

What is the difference between equipment and assets?

Equipment is a unit or machine with a fixed price or pricing rule that you add as a line to a quote. Assets are tracked items (such as hired tools or vehicles) that are linked to a job for tracking or costing purposes. See Assets for more detail.

Can I add the same equipment item to multiple quotes?

Yes. Equipment items in the catalogue can be used on as many quotes as needed.

Who can add or edit equipment items?

Your permission group controls this. If you cannot see an Add or Edit button, ask your workspace owner to check your permissions.

Equipment not appearing in the quote builder

The item may be set to Inactive. Open the equipment record and set the status to Active.

Equipment price looks wrong

The quote line may have been added before the price was updated. Edit the line directly on the quote to use the current price.
